I started photographing dogs because I wanted to capture the true bond people share with them, the kind of love that’s felt deeply, lived daily, and often hard to put into words.

This isn’t just about photos. It’s about what they mean to you.

01 Let’s Connect

We’ll begin with a simple call so I can learn about you, your dog, and what makes your relationship special. We’ll also talk through how you want these portraits to feel. I’ll answer any questions and walk you through how the studio session works, so you feel clear, confident, and know exactly what to expect. This planning step ensures everything feels smooth, personal, and completely stress-free.

02 Celebrate the bond

During your studio session, everything is centred around your dog and the connection you share. There’s no forcing poses or expecting your dog to perform. I work at their pace, paying close attention to their personality, energy, and comfort so their true self can shine through. The experience is relaxed, unrushed, and focused on capturing genuine interaction, resulting in portraits that feel honest, emotional, and deeply personal.

03 Hold on to it FOREVER

After your session, we’ll view your images together and choose the ones that truly reflect your dog and the bond you share. Together, we’ll select your favorite photographs and help you design custom artwork that feels right for your home and your life. This final step is about turning moments into something tangible - portraits that hold meaning, tell your story, and become lasting reminders of a relationship you never want to forget.

FAQs

  • It can be either. We can talk about that during our discovery call. Outside produces a more documentary style of photography, studio shoots produce a more sophisticated style. Whatever scenario will create the most natural result is the one I generally recommend.

  • Yes, absolutely.

    I photograph many dogs on leash. Safety always comes first, and most dogs are actually more relaxed when they feel that gentle connection to their person. I use thin, neutral leashes during the session and can easily edit them out afterward, so your final portraits look natural and leash-free.

    Your dog doesn’t need to be off-leash to create beautiful portraits. They just need to be themselves.

  • That’s completely okay. Many of the dogs I work with are anxious or easily overwhelmed, There’s no pressure for them to behave a certain way - we move at their pace and create something beautiful from who they truly are.

  • Absolutely - and I truly hope you are.

    Some of the most meaningful portraits are the ones that include you. Years from now, it won’t just be about how your dog looked… it’ll be about the way they looked at you.

  • I will always accommodate you if you have had sudden sad news or you know your dearest furry friend is preparing to pass over.

  • Yes, I create images in both black & white and color. I have found that black and white often expresses your dog’s character more fully when color is absent.

  • I work in and around Austin including Round Rock, Zilker, Bee Cave, Lakeway, etc.

  • Yes! Every collection comes with high-resolution digital files along with your finished fine art pieces. The digitals make it easy to share with friends and family, while the printed artwork is created to be lived with, displayed in your home, and cherished for years to come.
